Issuing Commands in MS Word 2007: Commands were used tell Microsoft Word application the required operations to be performed. However, in MS Word 2007, Ribbon is used to issue these commands.
The Ribbon: In MS Word 2007, this Ribbon is located in the top of the screen, below the Quick Access toolbar.
Command Buttons: There are different tabs present at the top of the Ribbon. On clicking a tab, related command groups are displayed. Within each command group, there are related command buttons. These buttons can be clicked for issuing commands or for accessing menus and dialog boxes.
Dialog Box Launcher: A dialog box launcher can be found in the bottom-right corner of a command group. On clicking this dialog box launcher, the user gets access to additional commands through a dialog box.
