Undo and Redo Options

Undo and Redo: By using Undo, one can quickly reverse most commands that have been executed. Again, if the user changes his mind again after undoing a particular command and wants to reapply that command, he can do so with the help of Redo.


Process to Undo and Redo

  • If the user has typed something, he can click the Undo button on the Quick Access menu. The typing will disappear.
  • One can click the Redo button on the Quick Access menu. This will result in the reappearance of the typed content that was Undo.
  • Select the content the needs to be made bold, italicized or underlined.
    • Press Ctrl+b for making the text bold.
    • Press Ctrl+i for making the text italicized.
    • Press Ctrl+u for making the text underlined.
  • On clicking the down arrow present next to the Undo icon, one can see the list of actions that can be performed. To undo the underline, one can click Underline. To undo the underline and italic, one can click Underline Italic etc.
  • To redo, click the Redo icon.

Alternate Process to Undo and Redo Using Keys

  • If the user has typed something, he can press Ctrl+z for Undo. The typing will disappear.
  • Now, he can press Ctrl+y to Redo and the typing will reappear.
  • Select the content the needs to be underlined.
    • Press Ctrl+u for underlining the selected text
    • Press Ctrl+z. The underlining will get removed
    • Press Ctrl+y. The underlining will reappear
